From eServices to AI: Why We’re Expanding the Vision of Own.Solutions

When I joined Own.Solutions, I didn’t do so as one of the pioneers from 20 years ago. Back then, I was simply too young. But what I did inherit is the spirit that drove this company from day one: the belief that technology should make things easier, not harder.
Over two decades, Own.Solutions became a trusted partner in the eServices world. Our platform powers product distribution across 30.000+ locations, helping global names like Netflix, PlayStation, Amazon, Chimpy, Aircash and FlixBus connect with their customers. And while we keep supporting that core business with the same dedication, I felt it was time to ask: what’s next?
Why AI, and Why Now?
The easy answer would be “because everyone else is doing it.” But that’s not my answer.
I’ve always believed technology only matters when it fits into people’s workflows instead of forcing them to adapt to it. That’s what we learned from building our distribution platform, and it’s exactly why we’re now building Own.AI.
The world of business today is flooded with challenges:
- Too much data, not enough clarity
- Customers expecting instant answers
- Regulations that keep getting stricter
- Teams that need smarter tools to do more with less
I didn’t see those as reasons to worry. I saw them as a reason to act.
Own.AI is our in-house AI framework. But more than that, it’s a way of making sure AI serves people and businesses in a practical, human way.
The first product we launched under it is Own.Assistant. And yes, it’s a chatbot, but not the kind that gives generic, “name-your-random-AI-chatbot” answers. It’s built for companies who need AI that understands their rules, their compliance, their people.
Some of the things we’ve already developed with it:
- A Compliance AI that instantly answers regulation and policy questions, and knows when to escalate to a human
- A Team Member Analyst that makes internal knowledge – who does what, where, and how – searchable in seconds
- A Policy Researcher that keeps track of policy cycles, ownership, and deadlines
- Seamless integration into Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and any other messaging app, so people don’t need to switch apps to get answers
Building on 20 Years of Trust
Even though AI is a new chapter for us, we’re not starting from scratch. We’re standing on 20 years of global experience working with partners like Valora, TOB, Orisha, ONCE, Lapker, and SelfPay. We know what it means to deliver mission-critical solutions that don’t fail at scale.
That reliability is now being translated into AI. The same way our eServices platform simplified how products reached customers, Own.AI is here to simplify how knowledge and compliance flow inside organizations.
The Road Ahead
We’re not building AI because it’s trendy, but because we believe in it.
And when it comes to AI, I don’t see it as a question of if. I see it as a question of when.
We’ve seen this with other technologies before. Food delivery platforms were part of daily life in Asia years before they reached Europe. The same will happen with autonomous cars, robotaxis, or drones that will one day deliver our food, medicine, or even maintain infrastructure. These things always feel distant, until suddenly, they’re normal.
AI is on that same path. The real challenge is timing and implementation: bringing it into complex systems like businesses and society in a way that actually works. That’s why we’re building Own.AI now. Because when AI becomes everyday reality – and it will – I want our partners to already be there with us, ready to benefit from it.
This isn’t about hype. It’s about trust, timing, and readiness. For me personally, leading this pivot is more than a business move – it’s a passion project.
We’re still the same Own.Solutions. We’re just expanding the vision. From eServices to AI, our mission remains the same: to create technology that works for people, not the other way around.
